The monoplay “I Believe” tells the story of a mother who lost her son in the war. Years ago, a young female scientist participated in an archaeological expedition in a mountain village and saw a solitary tree on the slope. While sitting in the shade of this tree, she learned she would become a mother. From that moment, a spiritual connection forms between the woman and the tree, and she even compares her child to this tree. Due to the war, the woman is separated from the archaeological site and raises her son in the city. She always dreams of showing her son the tree on the mountain slope, now under occupation. Years later, her son liberates the area, but unknowingly, he dies in battle near the very tree his mother spoke of. Now, the woman's only refuge in the world is the solitary tree on the slope. She returns to the liberated mountain slope for one last time to see the tree and end her life there...
