Fatma, who bravely endures humiliation from her stepmother and her stepsister, always remains silent so as not to hurt her father. The stepmother, who entrusts all the household responsibilities to this orphan, torments her by forcing her to spin yarn and knit stockings. She even demands to bring wool from the wind. To stop her from running away after her, Fatma goes into the forest. Here she meets the Old Lady. Fatma, sighing under her veil, looks at the Old Woman as if she were her own child, and lovingly carries out all her instructions. Seeing this devotion of the girl, the Old Lady does everything possible to bring her to happiness.

Goychek Fatma marries Shahzade. Despite all the bad deeds and cruelties committed by her, Fatma forgives her stepmother and sister.
