The "Rare Mugham Performers" project is being launched!

The aim of the project is to highlight, preserve, and pass down the creativity of rare and valuable performers of Azerbaijani mugham to future generations. The first event will be dedicated to the rich legacy of People's Artist Hacıbaba Huseynov, a beloved khananda and profound connoisseur of mugham art.

As part of the project, the musical heritage of other master khanandas will also be brought to a wider audience, continuing the promotion of the unique sounds of Azerbaijani mugham.

Hacıbaba Huseynov's repertoire included a number of mughams and tasnifs that stood out for their uniqueness and artistry. During the evening, some of his most renowned works will be performed, including the mughams "Rast," "Segah," "Chahargah," "Bayati-Shiraz," and the tasnifs "Karabakh Shikastasi," "Shahnaz," "Heyrati," and "Kurdi-Shahnaz."
